Cycle Accident Solicitors
Our experienced Cycle Accident Solicitors can help claim compensation if you were injured in an incident on your bike that was not your fault.
If you have been injured in a bike accident we know how angry you must be feeling.
Your injuries will be causing you pain and suffering but they can also place limitations on your lifestyle. In addition, you may also be suffering from a loss of income which can add further strain to your situation.
Cyclists are particularly vulnerable road users, so when accidents occur injuries can be very serious. Even the less serious accidents may involve a damaged bike, cuts and bruises or broken bones.
Many injured cyclists miss out on the compensation they are entitled to because they feel as though their case may be too minor to be worth pursuing. It costs nothing to call an experienced lawyer to explain what happened and find out what your options are.
We’d encourage you to take the first step to put things right.
If you have been physically or mentally damaged through the negligent actions of others, you have the right to seek compensation.
We seek compensation for all injuries resulting from cycling accidents.
I find your service to be highly recommendable. May I say that I am more than pleased with the way you have handled my claim for compensation and I would fully recommend your services to anyone.

Being involved in a bike accident can be a very frightening experience. Even with lights and a helmet, cyclists are still very exposed to careless driving or poor road conditions which can lead to some terrible accidents.
Cycling has also become more popular over recent years and the number of motor vehicles on the roads has increased too. This means that despite cyclists wearing helmets, bright clothing, and putting better lights on the bikes, more bike accidents are happening.
A personal injury claim is not only there to cover the physical harm that has been done but also to cover any damage that has been done to your personal property including:
If your bike is damaged then it may require repairs or, depending on the severity of the damage and the age of the bike, it may be deemed a write-off. The cost of the repairs or purchasing a new bike will be claimed against the insurance company of the person at fault.
Cyclists often carry personal belongings with them, particularly if they are commuting to work. This often includes expensive equipment such as mobile phones, laptops, tablets, and MP3 players. Other items that are often damaged as a result of an accident include jewellery, helmets, and clothing. Damage to any of these items will be covered by your compensation claim.
Our helpful guide to bicycle accident compensation claims can help you understand what your claim might be worth.

I've been a Solicitor at PSR Solicitors since March 2013 and am head of Personal Injury throughout the firm as well as having full responsibility for managing the Rhyl office.
I completed both my Law LLB and LPC degrees at Cardiff University, graduating in 2008 and 2009 respectively. Thereafter, I completed my 2-year training contract at a firm based in Cardiff, then I was retained by this firm as a Criminal Defence Solicitor until I decided to relocate up to North Wales.
As an experienced personal injury and civil litigation Solicitor, I represent Claimants in all manner of personal injury case work including injuries as a result of Road Traffic Accidents, Accidents at Work, and Occupiers Liability Accidents. Managing Director
I qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and worked as a Personal Injury Specialist throughout my legal career, dealing with high value serious injury cases obtaining both compensation and rehabilitation for my clients. I was a member of APIL (Association Of Personal injury Lawyers) and recognised by the Law Society as being a Senior Personal Injury Solicitor.
After working in various law firms, both small high street firms and a larger practice in Manchester, I saw a gap in the market for a high quality practice that had the same core high street values of being personable and approachable and combining them with the efficiency and professionalism of a larger practice. PSR Solicitors was therefore established in 2009 and since then PSR Solicitors has provided high quality legal services to local clients throughout North Wales and Cheshire.
I live in Chester with my young family and 2 dogs and enjoy regular holidays along the coast of North Wales and Ibiza.
I have recently been asked to join the board of trustees at Platform For Life, a mental health counselling charity in Chester. Good mental health is the foundation of a more fulfilled, happy and healthy life, yet many families struggle to access the help and support they need to achieve it. Platform for Life offers free local counselling and play therapy for families who would otherwise not be able to afford it.

I completed my law degree and legal practice course at Nottingham Law School, before qualifying as a solicitor in 2004. I then worked at a specialist personal injury firm in the East Midlands and a leading regional firm, before joining PSR in 2017.
With PSR I've continued to specialise in acting for Personal Injury claimants and have developed a keen understanding of the procedures and tactics involved in pursuing a claim, as well as the difficulties and concerns faced by people who have suffered as the result of an accident.
Since 2014 I've been proud to help hundreds of people. I've represented the public in all manner of injury claims, including serious orthopaedic injuries, brain damage, and psychological trauma. I was instructed to deal with claims for clients in the aftermath of the Potters Bar rail crash and the Penhallow hotel fire.
In addition, I represent clients in relation to all manner of disputes. I have dealt with professional negligence claims, such as those against solicitors and builders. I have helped clients recover money which is due to them and to dispute invoices which have been sent to them. I have helped business defend claims against them. I have tackled neighbour and boundary disputes.
I live locally to the Colwyn Bay office, and outside of work, I enjoy taking advantage of the coastal and mountain outdoor activities which are available on the doorstep. I'm also heavily involved with an outdoor pursuits charity, which I find an enjoyable and rewarding way of using my free time.

There are many different circumstances in which cyclists are injured on the road and our experienced solicitors can help you with a wide range of bike accident claims such as:
The majority of serious collisions involving cyclists happen at, or near, junctions such as roundabouts or T-junctions, which are particularly hazardous. Understandably, the severity of the injuries sustained by cyclists increases with a road’s speed limit, so higher speed roads including many rural roads see more serious or fatal injuries.
Approximately 80% of accidents involving cyclists occur in the daylight, when most people travel on their bikes, although accidents in the dark are more likely to result in a fatality.
The most common injuries sustained by cyclists on the road include:
It is more common for cyclists to injure their arms than their legs but both are extremely common injuries including breaks, fractures and strains. Although most injuries of this nature are not permanent there can be considerable pain, inconvenience and financial damage in the event of long recovery periods and complications.
These injuries can be extremely serious and are often accompanied by head injuries. Blunt trauma to the abdomen can occur from the bike’s handlebars, and can cause internal organ injuries. Similar harm can result if a cyclist is hit by a car door or thrown from the bike and subsequently injured by the wheels of a car.
These include everything from minor cuts and concussion to brain damage and fatal skull fractures. Often the most serious are those known as closed head injuries, where there are no visible wounds. Often caused by a violent blow or impact to the head, these injuries can cause the greatest amount of damage to the brain often resulting in paralysis or cognitive problems.
Injuries include bruising, lacerations, soft tissue damage and fractures. In the most serious of cases, surgery may be required including skin grafts and reconstructive surgery.
