Llandudno is one of the best known of all seaside towns in the UK.

Local House Price Trends

Average house prices in Llandudno were £210,904 over the last year, with the majority of sales being detached properties going for an average of £328,584.

There are a number of large, exclusive homes in the Great Orme area, on Llys Helyg Drive and Marine Drive for example, with properties selling for up to £1.5 million, while the town centre offers a great variety of detached and semi-detached houses for around £200,000 on St David’s Road, St Seiriol’s Road and Claremont Road.

Flats in Llandudno sold for an average of £145,167, terraced homes for £162,443, with semi-detached properties fetching £201,817, including a number of properties to the north of the town centre in the Tudno Street and Ty Coch Road area.

There are numerous excellent eating options in Llandudno, including fabulous cafes and tea rooms, as well as some of the best fish and chips in the country. Lawton’s Grill offers high standard, home cooked food in a modern bistro style, while the Bodnant Welsh Food centre offers three different dining options, the relaxed atmosphere of The Furnace, alfresco dining on The Courtyard and a delicious Sunday lunch in The Hayloft.

The family run Bodnant Farm Shop, which includes a bakery, a butchery, a deli and a wine cellar, also provides a wide variety of the best local produce, as well as fine products from across Wales, the UK and the rest of the world.  

History

Heritage is a big part of life in Llandudno, with a world-class World Heritage Site in Conway Castle, a mountain fortress, and a rare Tudor manor all easily accessible. There are a number of historic trails in the area, including sacred trails taking in a number of beautiful churches and chapels, the famous 3 Castles Tour (Conway, Dolbadarn and Caernarfon castles are all within easy reach), and the Alice in Wonderland trail in the town centre. Those interested in ancient history are also well served, with Iron Age hillforts and the Bronze Age copper mine offering the chance to experience life in the distant past.

Nature and the Great Outdoors

Llandudno is somewhere people go to relax, enjoying some of the most beautiful beaches in the country, the fabulous promenade, and the wide-open spaces of the Great Orme. You can choose to climb the Orme on foot, take the train or the cable car – whichever method you use, make sure that you enjoy the café and check out the Great Orme Copper Mine to explore the largest Bronze Age mining complex in the world.

There are three leisure centres in the local area, including impressive swimming and gym facilities, while the Llandudno Snowsports Centre offers skiing, snowboarding, tubing and tobogganing, as well as alpine golf. The Boathouse Climbing Centre, located in the old RNLI Boathouse, provides opportunities to test yourself on the climbing tower, the bouldering zone and junction wall.
