Our client was walking to university in Bangor when a car travelling too fast around the roundabout lost control and ploughed into her.  She suffered serious injury to her knee as a result of the collision.

We received instructions in relation to this claim in December 2014 and submitted the claim to the defendant’s insurers thereafter.  Although admission of liability was received from the defendant’s insurers in January 2015, given the severity of injury the medical evidence was complex.

We issued the matter in court in October 2017 and a trial was listed between for the latter end of 2019.  The defendants then considered the matter further and made a final offer of £36,000. This offer was subsequently accepted by the client and the matter settled in December 2018.
