The circumstances of the accident were that our client was staying at the country house on holiday. During her evening meal she wished to obtain some sponge pudding from a self-serve table top heating unit. As our client attempted to open the lid it stuck and the whole unit fell forward spilling boiling water onto her leg and foot.
