Our Client was visiting Costa Coffee store in Wrexham. As she walked into the bathroom she slipped due to a wet floor and sustained injury. It was understood that the floor was wet due to a leaking tap that had not been repaired. The store were fully aware of this but had not taken any action to remedy the issue.
As a result of the accident our Client suffered an injury to her back for which she required hospital treatment. She recovered well and was pain free within 12 months.
The Defendant denied liability and therefore Court proceedings were issued. The case was due to be heard in Court on the 10th March 2017 however this was not required as a settlement figure was negotiated out of Court as the defendants backed down.
As a result, our Client obtained £4000.00 compensation for her pain, suffering and loss of amenity.
