PSR Solicitors annual charity donations 2020.

MIND - £250.00

The Shotton office of PSR Solicitors has made a donation to Chris Burke, Loz Harrison and eight of their friends in support of their cycle ride for the charity MIND.  Loz Harrison from Flint has raised nearly £200,000 on charity bike rides whilst he himself battles with leukaemia. Unfortunately, the charity, like most organisations, has been hit hard by the coronavirus restrictions and this year they have been limited to a small cycle from Flint to Llandudno and back of 74 miles for the charity MIND. PSR Solicitors are proud to make a donation to an important charity such as MIND but also to support a local hero who is incredibly brave and has a great attitude in raising money for others.

RNLI Rhyl - £250.00

The Rhyl office of PSR Solicitors has made a donation to the RNLI.  The North Wales coast has numerous lifeboat stations with crews, most of whom are volunteers, who ensure the safety of lives 24-7 all year round. Many of us have family and friends who give up their time and put themselves at risk to ensure the safety of those who encounter difficulties along our beautiful but sometimes treacherous waters along the North Wales coast.  It is in recognition of this vital service that PSR Solicitors have made a donation to the RNLI in Rhyl as one of their 2020 annual charity donations.

Dear friends, I write to thank you for your most generous donation of £250.00 in support of Rhyl Lifeboat Station this Christmas time.

Your gift is very much appreciated and will help our volunteer lifeboat crews continue their work of saving the lives of those who become in difficulty at sea. It has been a most challenging year for all of us, and with our own fundraising efforts greatly reduced we are most grateful to you for your generous support.

On behalf of my colleagues at the Rhyl Station, I send our best wishes for the festive season, and thank you again for raising funds in aid of the Lifeboat Service.

Nightingale House Hospice - £250.00

The Wrexham office of PSR Solicitors has made a donation to the Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham.  The hospice provides specialist palliative care services, free of charge, to patients and their families throughout Wrexham, Flintshire, East Denbighshire and beyond. They rely on fundraising events and donations to continue to offer care that can make such a difference to both patients and families at a time of enormous stress and anxiety. As with many charities in 2020 raising funds has been extremely difficult for them. The hospice was nominated by a number of our colleagues at PSR Solicitors whose families have received care, compassion and support from the dedicated team at the Nightingale Hospice and as such we are proud to include them in our list of charitable donations for 2020.

Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation - £250.00

The Colwyn Bay office of PSR Solicitors has made a donation to the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue. This local mountain rescue team is entirely run by volunteers and is reliant upon charitable donations.  They perform a vital service for those who enjoy spending time on the hills and mountains of North Wales and are responsible for the search and rescue of missing persons, lost or injured walkers and climbers within their geographical area. Last year they attended 121 incidents and their service will be required for an even greater number of incidents this year. Once again, we have dedicated volunteers who provide their time and expertise to assist others in danger and as such PSR Solicitors have included them in our list of 2020 charitable donations.

Special Care Baby Unit, Countess of Chester Hospital - £250.00

The Ellesmere Port office of PSR Solicitors has made a donation to the Special Care Baby Unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital.  This worthy nomination was made by two of our colleagues who received excellent care and support from the dedicated staff at the unit when their babies were born prematurely. The unit relies upon public donations on a regular basis to ensure all the equipment they have is the very best available to enable them to provide poorly and often tiny babies every chance of survival.  We are pleased to assist the unit and include them in our 2020 list of charitable donations.

Children in Need - £100.00

Children in Need is an annual charity event that supports local charities and projects to help change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people all over the country.  Every year we see the huge effort that goes into this nationwide event, especially from the participating children, and the generous support it receives by everyone.  Media coverage of the event enables us to witness the many worthy causes throughout the country who benefit from the donations received.
