Our Rhyl office has successfully obtained over £5,600 for an individual, who was injured an accident while shopping in the Iceland Store in Rhyl, in August following a day's trail at Rhyl County Court.
Our client was present in the dairy produce aisle. As she was walking along the aisle her left foot suddenly and without warning slipped forward causing her to fall heavily forwards.
Following our involvement liability was denied on the basis that there had been no spillage and it was in fact the Claimant’s own footwear which had caused her to fall.
Following disclosure of documentation and CCTV footage, we deemed there to be sufficient evidence to prove that there had not only been a spillage, but that it was from a spillage earlier in the day which must not have been cleared properly.
We attended Rhyl County Court on the 13th October 2016 and the judge found the Defendants had been negligent. An award of over £5,600 was made to our client.
As a result of our client employing our specialist services, following denial we proceeded with the matter to a hearing and obtain the maximum settlement figure possible.
